The Trump campaign released a new photo ad calling on Americans to “support our troops.” The only problem is that the campaign used a stock image of Russian-made fighter jets and weapons, according to POLITICO.
Speaking to the publication, aerospace engineer Pierre Spray identified the aircraft used in the ad as “definitely a MiG-29,” noting they angle of the aircraft’s tail and the space between the engines.
Director of Moscow’s Centre of Analysis and Strategies and Technologies, Ruslan Pukhov, also confirmed that the soldier to the right in the image is carrying an AK-47, which is a Soviet-era assault rifle.
