U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez didn’t hold back Friday after Trump’s border chief, Tom Homan, suggested she could be in legal trouble for telling immigrants their rights.

At a fiery town hall in New York City, the congresswoman tore into Homan’s threats, defending her decision to hold a “Know Your Rights with ICE” webinar for her constituents.

“And he may want to do it again today and to that I say, come for me, you’re going to have to come for me,” she said. “Do I look like I care?”

Her message was loud and clear: She’s not backing down.

Homan has been targeting Ocasio-Cortez for months. In a February appearance on Fox News, he claimed he wrote to the Justice Department, asking if her actions were crossing the line and whether she “could be in trouble.” He accused her of “trying to teach” people “how to evade law enforcement.”

Civil rights groups have dismissed Homan’s attacks, saying her advice is completely legal and protected under the First Amendment. Ocasio-Cortez herself called out what she saw as a “threatening political prosecution” and wrote to Attorney General Pam Bondi demanding answers.

On Friday, she made it clear: informing people of their constitutional rights isn’t just legal — it’s necessary.

“We do it by exercising and using our constitutional rights,” she said. “Our rights are, ‘use it or lose it,’ so we need to use it.”

“Don’t let them intimidate you into thinking that you’re doing something wrong by telling people what their actual legal constitutional rights are,” she continued. “There’s nothing wrong about it and there’s nothing illegal about it.”
