Donald Trump has once again reignited his baseless election fraud narrative, claiming that voter fraud is already occurring in Pennsylvania despite early voting not beginning until September 20th. In a series of furious posts on Truth Social, Trump cited a dubious interview with Tucker Carlson, alleging that 20% of mail-in ballots in Pennsylvania are fraudulent.
“An interview by Tucker Carlson of an election expert indicates that 20% of the Mail-In Ballots in Pennsylvania are fraudulent. Here we go again! Where is the U.S. Attorney General and FBI to INVESTIGATE? Where is the Pennsylvania Republican Party? We will WIN Pennsylvania by a lot, unless the Dems are allowed to CHEAT. THE RNC MUST ACTIVATE, NOW!!!,” Trump raged.
Simultaneously, Trump has ramped up his attacks on Democratic rival Kamala Harris, accusing her of evading the press as they approach their crucial first presidential debate on ABC News this Tuesday evening. In a scathing post, Trump labeled Harris’s media avoidance as “not normal,” suggesting that her reluctance to engage with journalists reflects poorly on her readiness for the presidency.
Trump’s criticism of Harris was sharp: “Comrade Kamala Harris “is completely hiding from the press. She’s not even taking short, quick questions at the plane. It’s not normal to have a candidate running for President who is hiding from the press. Harris is copying Biden’s self-protection strategy, duck tough interviews and limit improvisational moments(Axios).” Trump wrote.
“The last thing we need for our Nation in Decline is another President who is not smart enough to answer reporters questions. We just went through that, and we don’t want to do it again!”, Trump declared.
The latest New York Times/Siena College poll reveals Trump and Harris are neck-and-neck, with Trump barely leading by one point, 48% to 47%.
Over the weekend, Trump took his campaign to Mosinee, Wisconsin, a conservative stronghold in a critical swing state. During his rally, Trump proposed expanding the 25th Amendment to allow for the removal of a vice president and made controversial claims about transgender surgeries and war.
