Former President Donald Trump had a late-night social media outburst targeting Vice President Kamala Harris, following Fox News polls that showed her leading him in key swing states.

Trump’s rage invoked Fox News commentator Mark Levin, who had harshly criticized Harris as a “blithering idiot,” a “rabid Marxist scholar,” and even accused her of infanticide. Instead of addressing the troubling poll numbers for his campaign in states like Minnesota, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan, Trump fixated on Levin’s inflammatory comments.

At 11:15 p.m., Trump launched a series of five video posts featuring Levin’s rants. Levin’s critiques focused on Harris’ positions on immigration, abortion, and police reform, with statements like, “She does not believe in capitalism, she does not believe in freedom, she does not believe in the declaration,” calling it “a prescription for tyranny.”

Levin’s comments appeared to be an attempt to undermine Harris’ credibility by distorting her views and dismissing her policies. For instance, Levin mischaracterized Harris’ criticisms of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), cutting her off during a Senate hearing and accusing her of pandering to Hispanic communities.

“Here she (Kamala Harris) is basically comparing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE), to the perception of the Ku Klux Klan,” Mark Levin ranted, adding, “The combination of stupidity and arrogance is on full display, right here.”

“She does not believe in capitalism, she does not believe in freedom, she does not believe in the declaration,” Levin claimed “That’s a prescription for tyranny!”

Trump’s frustration and Levin’s vitriol come as Harris gains momentum in the race, positioning herself as a formidable contender against Trump and his running mate, Senator J.D. Vance.

With mounting internal campaign issues and Trump’s retreat from a presidential debate, analysts view these attacks as signs of deeper problems within his campaign strategy.
