President Donald Trump unleashed a brutal attack on Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) after she called for his impeachment over the recent U.S. airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites. Ocasio-Cortez didn’t hold back, firing back just as hard.
In a post on the social platform X on Tuesday, Ocasio-Cortez doubled down on her belief that the U.S. bombing of Iran was illegal. She blasted Trump’s decision, which she called “a grave violation of the Constitution.” The congresswoman also took a jab at Trump’s angry remarks about her.
“Mr. President, don’t take your anger out on me – I’m just a silly girl,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote. “Take it out on whoever convinced you to betray the American people and our Constitution by illegally bombing Iran and dragging us into war. It only took you 5 months to break almost every promise you made.”
Trump wasn’t going to let that slide. In a post on Truth Social, he called Ocasio-Cortez “Stupid AOC” and slammed her intelligence. He also dared her to go through with her threat to impeach him.
“Stupid AOC, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, one of the ‘dumbest’ people in Congress, is now calling for my impeachment, despite the fact that the Crooked and Corrupt Democrats have already done that twice before,” Trump wrote.
He then shifted gears to mock her over the successes of his presidency, saying, “The reason for her ‘rantings’ is all of the Victories that the U.S.A. has had under the Trump Administration. The Democrats aren’t used to WINNING, and she can’t stand the concept of our Country being successful again.”
Trump didn’t stop there. He also took a swipe at her hometown, saying Ocasio-Cortez should be focused on fixing the crime-ridden streets of Queens, New York, rather than constantly complaining. “Instead of her constant complaining, Alexandria should go back home to Queens, where I was also brought up, and straighten out her filthy, disgusting, crime-ridden streets, in the District she ‘represents,’ and which she never goes to anymore,” he wrote.

Ocasio-Cortez’s call for impeachment came after the Trump administration launched airstrikes against three Iranian nuclear sites. She warned that the bombing could lead to a dangerous war, saying it was a “clear grounds for impeachment.”
Trump’s personal attacks on Ocasio-Cortez are nothing new. Over the years, he’s often targeted the congresswoman, though he’s occasionally acknowledged her political skills. But this time, the fight was all about his controversial decision to bomb Iran.
The Constitution gives Congress the power to declare war, but presidents of both parties have carried out military actions without Congressional approval in the past. Trump’s impeachment, however, didn’t stem from military decisions but from allegations over his dealings with Ukraine and the January 6th Capitol riot. Both times, he was acquitted by the Senate.
As the back-and-forth intensifies, it’s clear this fight between Trump and Ocasio-Cortez is far from over.
