Every day without answers is another day of heartbreak for Savannah Guthrie and her family after her mother’s disappearance.
Nearly four months after her mother, Nancy Guthrie, vanished from her home in Tucson, Arizona, the Today Show anchor shared another emotional plea on social media as the search for the 84-year-old continues with no sign of her whereabouts.
On Sunday, Savannah posted a religious image to her Instagram story bearing the words: “Oh my, my soul, it cries out, soul, it cries out.”
She added a simple message of her own: “bring her home” 💛
Just three words.
But after months of uncertainty, they carried the weight of a family’s ongoing nightmare.
Nancy Guthrie disappeared from her Catalina Foothills home on February 1, triggering a massive investigation involving local authorities, the FBI, Customs and Border Protection, and search-and-rescue teams.
While no arrests have been announced, investigators believe Nancy was abducted.
The case has haunted Savannah since the day her mother vanished.
Though she returned to her duties on NBC’s Today in April, she has continued using her platform to keep attention focused on the search, repeatedly urging anyone with information to contact authorities.
And despite the passage of time, she has refused to give up hope.
Back in February, Savannah shared an emotional video describing the anguish her family has experienced since her mother’s disappearance.
“Every hour and minute and second and every long night has been agony,” she said.
Fighting back tears, she described the constant fear and uncertainty that have followed.
“Worrying about her, and fearing for her, and aching for her, and most of all just missing her.”
It was a raw glimpse into the devastating reality families face when a loved one simply disappears.
The heartbreaking part is that investigators still have few answers.
Authorities recovered security camera footage showing a masked individual tampering with a camera at Nancy’s home before she vanished. They also found bloodstains at the scene that were later confirmed to belong to Nancy.
But despite those troubling discoveries, the investigation has reportedly produced few public breakthroughs.
According to reports, law enforcement has been working from limited evidence for months, and no significant new leads have emerged since the surveillance footage was uncovered shortly after Nancy disappeared.
That lack of progress has only deepened the pain for those closest to the family.
In an effort to generate new information, the Guthrie family has offered a reward of up to $1 million for information leading to Nancy’s recovery.
Meanwhile, Savannah continues doing the only thing she can: keeping her mother’s story in the public eye and asking people not to forget.
In an earlier message shared with supporters, she thanked those who have been praying for Nancy’s safe return.
“We still believe in a miracle,” she said. “We still believe that she can come home.”
Now, nearly four months later, that hope remains.
And so does a daughter’s simple plea. Bring her home.
