Donald Trump came after Elon Musk again — this time threatening to kill off the massive government subsidies keeping Musk’s empire afloat.

In a late-night post on Truth Social, Trump threatened to pull the plug on Musk’s government contracts, accusing the billionaire of cashing in on taxpayer money while undercutting Trump’s stalled legislation in the Senate.

“Elon Musk knew, long before he so strongly Endorsed me for President, that I was strongly against the EV Mandate. It is ridiculous, and was always a major part of my campaign. Trump wrote just after midnight.

He continued, “Electric cars are fine, but not everyone should be forced to own one.”

Then came the real shot: “Elon may get more subsidy than any human being in history, by far, and without subsidies, Elon would probably have to close up shop and head back home to South Africa.”

Trump also suggested ending Musk’s rocket launches, satellite programs, and EV production entirely — a move he said would save the U.S. “a FORTUNE.”

“Perhaps we should have DOGE take a good, hard, look at this? BIG MONEY TO BE SAVED!!!” he added.

The feud between the Trump and Musk has been heating up for months, but this is one of the most direct threats Trump has made.
