Matt Gaetz Just Tried To Insult Roe Protesters By Saying They’re ‘Over-Educated’ — It Didn’t Go Well

Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz, who is under investigation for possible sex trafficking of minors, is being condemned and mocked online after he tried to insult women protesting the Supreme Court’s move to overturn Roe v. Wade by calling them “over-educated” and “under-loved millennials” with “no Bumble matches”.

“How many of the women rallying against overturning Roe are over-educated, under-loved millennials who sadly return from protests to a lonely microwave dinner with their cats, and no bumble matches?,” the Florida congressman tweeted on Wednesday morning after protests sprang up throughout the US in opposition to Roe being overturned.

As expected, it didn’t take long for Twitter users to respond.

Many accused Gaetz of being a “misogynist”, while others ridiculed the pro-Trump lawmaker for suggesting being educated is a bad thing.

Others pointed to the ongoing Justice Department investigation involving Gaetz, who allegedly paid an underage girl to travel with him for sex through Venmo payments allegedly processed by accused sex trafficker Joel Greenberg.
