Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz, who is under investigation for possible sex trafficking of minors, is being condemned and mocked online after he tried to insult women protesting the Supreme Court’s move to overturn Roe v. Wade by calling them “over-educated” and “under-loved millennials” with “no Bumble matches”.
“How many of the women rallying against overturning Roe are over-educated, under-loved millennials who sadly return from protests to a lonely microwave dinner with their cats, and no bumble matches?,” the Florida congressman tweeted on Wednesday morning after protests sprang up throughout the US in opposition to Roe being overturned.
As expected, it didn’t take long for Twitter users to respond.
Many accused Gaetz of being a “misogynist”, while others ridiculed the pro-Trump lawmaker for suggesting being educated is a bad thing.
Others pointed to the ongoing Justice Department investigation involving Gaetz, who allegedly paid an underage girl to travel with him for sex through Venmo payments allegedly processed by accused sex trafficker Joel Greenberg.

Hey Matty Fivehead,
I’m a college educated Gen X woman who has returned from an abortion rights protest with a smart, sexy man I met while marching.
And unlike you, I didn’t have to Venmo him for sex either.
I do have cats though.
So you got that part right.
Good job. 👍🏻

This is a congressman saying some pretty messed up things about women.

You really are a misogynistic POS, Matty.

This is how the Republican Party views you women. I don’t know what more you need to motivate you to get involved in midterms NOW and FIERCELY!!!

How many underage girls have you venmoed for sex?

Calling women “over-educated” for caring about their basic freedoms is a pretty concise way to expose how anti-women, anti-education, and anti-freedom the Republican Party really is.

Over-educated? Do you not believe women should be educated? How Talibangelical of you, albeit pretty on brand for someone who is delighting in stripping women of their rights.

What EXACTLY does an over-educated Woman look like? Does she have the ability to detect a lecherous, pathetic, child sex trafficking creep easily?
You don't need a college education for that, Captain Venmo.
