President Donald Trump doubled down on his controversial tariff policy, insisting it will deliver “GREATNESS,” while telling critics to stop being “weak” and “stupid” as global financial markets spiral toward a recession.
“The United States has a chance to do something that should have been done DECADES AGO,” Trump said. “Don’t be Weak! Don’t be Stupid!”
He also coined a new term for anyone complaining about his approach: “Don’t be a PANICAN (A new party based on Weak and Stupid people!). Be Strong, Courageous, and Patient, and GREATNESS will be the result!”
Trump’s new “Liberation Day” tariffs, announced last week, have triggered a global market downturn. On Monday, the Dow dropped 1,300 points, marking its third straight day of losses. The S&P 500 officially entered bear market territory, and futures along with foreign markets fell sharply over the weekend, leading to the Monday selloff.
