The Lincoln Project, an anti-Trump PAC, has witnessed one of its ads resurfacing amid the escalating political season. The advertisement, originally targeting former President Donald Trump’s alleged smell, is once again gaining traction on social media.
The ad came about following a tweet by former Illinois Republican representative Adam Kinzinger, which ignited a firestorm online: “I’m genuinely surprised how people close to Trump haven’t talked about the odor. It’s truly something to behold. Wear a mask if you can.”
Kinzinger elaborated further, describing Trump’s odor as “a mixture of armpits, ketchup, butt, and makeup thrown into a blender.”
Capitalizing on Kinzinger’s remarks, The Lincoln Project created a video ad under the hashtag “#TrumpSmells.” The ad, titled “Limburger,” creatively juxtaposes images of waste, flies, and coughs with pointed commentary alleging Trump’s olfactory distinctiveness.
