Voters are growing tired of seeing a Republican Party throw the rule of law to the side just to defend and protect Donald Trump from being removed from office.
The majority of the public has spoken and not only do they want a fair trial, but they want Trump removed from office. But that doesn’t look like it’ll be happening after Senate Republicans voted against documents and witnesses in Trump’s impeachment trial.
People are furious over the “cover-up.” So much so that the hashtag #GOPCoverup is now trending on Twitter. Take a look at how people have responded:

The hilarious thing about the GOP destroying their party is that they are doing it for Trump. That's like blowing up your mansion because your toilet is clogged. #GOPCoverup

Even House Speaker Nancy Pelosi joined the trend:

I literally don’t get it.
If Senate Republicans are so damn sure of Trump’s innocence, wouldn’t they want AS MUCH EVIDENCE AS POSSIBLE to prove their point?!?!!
But nah, this ain’t a trial. It’s a #GOPCoverup

I fully expected all Republican Senators to betray both their oaths and our country for Donald Trump. But it's still awful and devastating to realize that there truly is not one lone patriot among them. Not one. They're all gravediggers to our democracy. #GOPCoverup pic.twitter.com/PjwA4Uhs2W

They don't care about the US Constitution.
They don't care about bribery.
They don't care about extortion.
They don't care about the United States of America. #GOPCoverup

So I’m also no lawyer, but my brother is, and I know he’s never presented a case at a trial without #WitnessesAndDocuments, so why is #TrumpsRemovalTrial an exception? 🤔 #GOPCoverup https://t.co/BFSBxLerIb

Every single senator voting NO to allow witnesses and documents are
disrespectfully ignoring the 69% of the people that want to see and hear the evidence.

Congressman Adam Schiff, "What's interesting that while these lawyers for the President are here today saying that the House should have gone to court, they are in court saying that the House may NOT go to court to enforce their subpoenas!" #GOPCoverup #TrumpsRemovalTrial pic.twitter.com/lca3qzdpbH

Make no mistake! What is happening right now in the Senate is not a trial. it is deliberate cover-up, engineered by one of Donald Trump's accomplices.

Democrats shine while the entire Republican Party lies and slinks down the alley to aid Trump in his criminal cover up.#MitchMcCoverup #TrumpIsCorrupt #CoverUpMcConnell#GOPCoverup https://t.co/CM30CAD72u

Sad day in America, one I will not forget. The day the government failed the American people to a fair trial #GOPCoverup THE YOUNG WILL PROSPER you will be voted out
— Amber✨ (@euphoria_in_sun) January 21, 2020
Let's be very clear: This trial is nothing more than a staged #GOPCoverup.
Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans have turned the Senate into a partisan circus.
I hope they're ready to live with this legacy.

#GOPCoverup = a trial with no witnesses and evidence.
Voters remember this on Election Day.
Republicans are on the record.

Tell both of your senators to vote against the #GOPCoverup aimed at protecting Trump.
Just send a text message with the phrase "Remove Trump" to 50409 and you can send @TheDemCoalition petition to both of your home state senators RIGHT NOW.
