A Minnesota judge has granted a landlord’s plea to evict MyPillow, owned by Mike Lindell, due to staggering unpaid rent exceeding $200,000, as reported the Star Tribune. Despite receiving four default notices within six months, MyPillow’s financial delinquency persists, prompting the landlord of a Shakopee warehouse to seek legal recourse.
During the hearing, Sara Filo, representing the Delaware-based landlord First Industrial, stressed the need for procedural adherence: “MyPillow has more or less vacated, but we’d like to do this by the book.” She revealed the cessation of further payments under the lease, signaling efforts to secure a replacement tenant.
Notably absent from the courtroom were Lindell and MyPillow representatives, declining to offer commentary after the ruling.
This eviction compounds Lindell’s woes, as he asserts his finances have been depleted while championing the debunked notion of election fraud in the 2020 presidential race.
