President Donald Trump spent Sunday night turning his Truth Social feed into a full-blown one-man rally, following a shocking reversal on whether House Republicans should vote to release the Jeffrey Epstein files.

For months, Trump resisted the release, calling the investigation a “Democrat hoax.” But Sunday night, the 79-year-old finally gave a reluctant green light for Republicans to vote to release the files, claiming it was time to “move on”—even after many GOP lawmakers had already decided to defy him.

The U-turn did nothing to calm his ongoing feud with MAGA favorite Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene. In a marathon posting session, Trump alternated between attacking perceived enemies and defending his policies.

“Wacky Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Brown (Remember, Green turns to Brown where there is ROT involved!) is working overtime to try and portray herself as a victim when, in actuality, she is the cause of all of her own problems. The fact is, nobody cares about this Traitor to our Country!” he wrote.

Critics noted the timing of Trump’s reversal seemed convenient. Some suggested that during the period he fought to block the release of the files, the FBI may have removed his name from the records, prompting the sudden call for disclosure.

Just after midnight in Washington, Trump posted an image of himself in a MAGA hat with “GOLDEN AGE” in bold 3D letters. He added:

“Since President Trump took office, companies have invested trillions of dollars into their U.S.-backed operations — onshoring and creating hundreds of thousands of new jobs for Americans.”

Reality told a different story. While some companies, including Apple, have pledged U.S. investments—partly to skirt Trump’s tariffs—these commitments fall far short of the “trillions” he claimed. Meanwhile, the U.S. economy has shed more than 1.1 million jobs this year, with October layoffs hitting a 20-year high. Twitter’s community note swiftly fact-checked the claim:

“Readers added context: Job growth has suffered substantially in Trumps second term. In recent months down 75% compared to the same time last year.”

California Governor Gavin Newsom seized the moment to troll Trump, overlaying “GOLDEN AGE” on a photo of Trump with Epstein—a longtime associate who died in jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.

Trump, however, insisted unnamed Democrats had engaged in illegal activity connected to Epstein.

“It’s a Democrat Hoax for purposes of deflection, just like the Russia, Russia, Russia Scam!!! They had the sleazy relationships with Epstein, and should be prosecuted!!!” he wrote.

Throughout the night, Trump also shared posts from the Trump War Room and White House Rapid Response accounts defending his tariff policies—despite Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent projecting that inflation won’t ease until the first half of 2026—and his mass deportation efforts.

He capped the social media blitz with posts from MAGA influencers attacking Democrats, praising Secretary of State Marco Rubio for “crushing it,” and celebrating himself in broken English:

“He is best president in History of America” said one.

It was a chaotic mix of backtracking, bragging, and lashing out, all while the realities of economic struggles and the Epstein scandal cast a long shadow over the so-called “Golden Age.”
