Donald Trump just walked away from a public showdown with Elon Musk — and the internet is roasting him for it.
After a day of escalating jabs between the two powerful figures, Trump suddenly went silent, posting a bizarre three-word message that had nothing to do with the fight. That’s all it took for the internet to light up with a viral nickname: TACO — Trump Always Chickens Out.
Musk took credit for Trump’s win and sought gratitude, prompting Trump to fire back with what some saw as a veiled threat — suggesting Musk’s government contracts should be pulled. But when Musk hit harder, claiming he had a “big secret” on Trump and calling for his impeachment, Trump suddenly went quiet.
Instead of clapping back, Trump posted just this at 7:31 AM on Truth Social: “Groceries, gasoline, energy.”
No context. No response. Just silence. And social media exploded.
“So predictable from TACO Don,” one user wrote on X.
“Jeffrey. Epstein. Island. We’re NEVER letting this go #TACO,” another shot back.
Political commentator Alex Cole chimed in: “All Elon needs to do now is call him TACO….🤞”
Others mocked Trump with coded posts like, “5PENCILS/2Dolls..1TACO” and even AI-generated memes of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
It didn’t stop there. Google searches for “Trump” and “Taco” spiked 9900%, according to CNN.

What was supposed to be a fight between two giants turned into a meme war. And Trump, once again, is being dragged online as the man who talks tough — and then walks away.
Trump Always Chickens Out. And the internet won’t let him forget it:
