In a recent segment on The Five, Fox News host Greg Gutfeld stirred controversy by asserting that Republicans will face mass incarceration after the 2024 election. Gutfeld claimed that Democrats are already planning to send Trump supporters to “deprogramming” camps.
Gutfeld’s comments were prompted by Hillary Clinton’s recent interview with CNN, where she discussed the need for “deprogramming” Trump’s base, referring to them as a “cult.” According to Gutfeld, this validates fears among Trump supporters, asserting that “a group of elites is already placing targets on their backs.”
During his frantic rant, Gutfeld argued that Trump, during his presidency, targeted those in power, such as “the media, politicians, and the Democratic Party.” In contrast, Gutfeld claimed that Clinton is now focusing on the voters themselves.
The Fox News host painted a grim picture, stating, “They are coming for you. They’re just no longer hiding it. They want us to be scared. They want us to stay home.”

In the CNN interview referenced by Gutfeld, Clinton described Trump as the “classic tale of an authoritarian, populist who really has a grip on the emotional and psychological needs” of his supporters.
“And sadly, so many of those extremists, those MAGA extremists, take their marching orders from Donald Trump, who has no credibility left by any measure,” she told CNN. “Maybe there needs to be a formal deprogramming of the cult members.”
Gutfeld went on to suggest that Democrats are fostering a “cancel culture on a wider, larger scale,” citing the FBI’s alleged targeting of MAGA Republicans as terrorists as part of this pattern.
“It is no longer a bug in the system, it is the system. You have the FBI now targeting MAGA Republicans as terrorists, that’s part of this equation. If you dare to call it out, a target will be placed on you,” he said.
“If you talk about issues that matter, that the Democrats have abandoned, whether it’s immigration or crime or education, you will need deprogramming, you will go to the camp.”

Gutfeld’s remarks come on the heels of his previous statement that “elections don’t work” and that civil war could be a viable alternative on The Five.
