Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), the House Judiciary Committee chairman, took his MAGA show on the road on Monday in the form of a hearing on violent crime in New York City. But his political stunt was met with chants of “traitor” by protesters.
Videos shared on social media show the demonstrators packed into a hallway outside the hearing room with signs calling for the indictment of the Ohio Republican while slamming him as a “traitor.”
The hearing was organized in response to Donald Trump’s indictment.
The GOP hearing intents to highlight violent crime in Manhattan, where district attorney Alvin Bragg is prosecuting Trump on dozens of business fraud charges.
