Jim Jordan (R-OH) came to the defense of Republican vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance after Democratic candidate Tim Walz described him as “weird.”

In a Sunday segment on Fox News, Jordan expressed confidence in Vance’s debate performance, stating, “I think J.D. Vance against Tim Walz will do great.” Jordan criticized Walz for initiating the “weird” label, emphasizing what he calls Vance’s impressive background.

“J.D. Vance is a United States senator from the seventh largest state in the Union; vice presidential candidate,” Jordan said. “And he’s 40. That is not weird! That is amazing. That is exceptional. That — that’s the American story and they’re gonna make fun of that, right?”

“Go ahead, keep going, wait until the debates.” he added.

However, Jordan avoided commenting on Vance’s misogynistic rhetoric and his ant-women statements

Jordan also predicted that former President Donald Trump would excel in the upcoming debate with Vice President Kamala Harris. “He will do a great,” Jordan asserted.

Despite Jordan’s assurances, his nervous laughter during the interview hinted at underlying concerns about the upcoming debates.
