Donald Trump’s attorneys are now arguing that an unpublished portion of former National Security Adviser John Bolton’s new book cannot be used in his trial because it is “inadmissible.”
Attorney Jay Sekulow, who is one of the attorneys representing Trump at his impeachment trial, claimed on Tuesday that “you cannot impeach a president on an unsourced allegation,” referring to published accounts of Bolton’s new book.
“I don’t know what you’d call that. I’d call it inadmissible, but that’s what it is,” he added.
