Rudy Giuliani on Tuesday said that Eminem should “go to another country” after taking a knee during the Super Bowl halftime show.
“Why doesn’t he go to another country?” Giuliani said on his radio show. “I mean, go take a knee someplace else,” he demanded before claiming that many cops were “defending and protecting” the rapper at the game.
The former Mayor also mocked Snoop Dogg’s vocal sound, and said Colin Kaepernick isn’t a good QB because “he ran too damn much.”
According to The New York Times, the NFL was ‘aware’ that Eminem planned to kneel during the halftime performance.
The move was an apparent nod to the former San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who took a knee during the playing of the national anthem during the 2016 season to protest police brutality and racial inequity, The Times noted.
