Republican Representative Jim Jordan, of Ohio, suffered a brutal smackdown after attempting to promote Donald Trump’s disastrous economic performance during his time in office by telling his followers their 401K misses the defeated former president.

“Your 401k misses President Trump,” Jordan tweeted to his followers on Monday only to be hit with this gut-wrenching from the father of a Parkland teen who was killed during a school shooting while Trump was in office.

“Actually, I miss my daughter who was murdered because ignorant a**holes like you refuse to address gun violence @Jim_Jordan,” wrote Fred Guttenberg, whose 14-year-old daughter Jaime was killed during the massacre at the Stoneman Douglas High School on February 14, 2018, in Parkland, Florida.

“As for my 401k, still higher today than it was on the last day of the other guy. Instead of Soviet inspired tweets, do something worthwhile or shut up,” he told Jordan.

Since losing his daughter, Guttenberg has been a vocal proponent of stricter gun control measures.

“I have dedicated the rest of my life to fighting for the cause of gun safety. I will not stop,” the father of the Parkland teen said in 2018. “No other parent should ever go through what my family and 16 other families are going through.”

Naturally, others piled on.
