Internet Reacts After Trump Appears To Celebrate Putin’s Sanctions On Biden

On Tuesday, the Kremlin announced a comical list of sanctions against U.S. President Joe Biden and members of his administration, as well as former secretary of state Hillary Clinton, banning them from entering Russia in retaliation for sanctions imposed by the US against Vladimir Putin’s regime over the invasion of Ukraine. The news apparently delighted former President Donald Trump, who took to Twitter to celebrate the move and try to drag Biden to the mud.

“Russia just sanctioned Joe Biden,” Trump said in a statement shared on Twitter by his spokesperson Liz Harrington. “While that is a terrible thing, in so many ways, perhaps, it will now be explained why the Biden family received 3.5 million from the very wealthy mayor of Moscow’s wife,” he added.

He then complained that former Fox news anchor Chris Wallace didn’t allow him to ask Biden that question during their first presidential debate and claimed that “this a bad conflict of interest that, perhaps, now can be fully and finally revealed.”

Naturally, Twitter users didn’t waste time to remind the former president that he’s is the one who seems compromised by Russia.
