Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) made a confession this week: that his efforts to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden is purely political and an attempt to help Donald Trump win in November.
Johnson announced this week that his investigation “is meant to be a retrospective look into Biden’s conduct as vice president,” noted Atlantic reporter Edward-Isaac Dovere. “But Johnson is saying that it’s about whether Biden would be a good president.”
about this investigation:
-it was started the morning after Biden won the South Carolina primary, with notifications made on a Sunday morning
-it has received info from Ukrainian sources that have been tied to Russian intel – though committee has said it isn't using those

Dovere then noted that Republicans had no interest in investigating Biden until after he won the South Carolina primary.
It was also reported last week that Johnson had been getting his intelligence from Andriy Derkach, a Ukrainian source who was sanctioned for involvement in election meddling.
In Johnson’s interview Tuesday with Wisconsin radio, he confessed again that his efforts were all for Trump
“What our investigations are uncovering, I think, will reveal this is not somebody we should be electing president,” he claimed.
