Former national security adviser John Bolton says he is contemplating entering the 2024 presidential race to stop former president Donald Trump from getting a second term in office.
During an interview on NBC’s Meet The Press, Bolton lambasted Trump’s call for the “termination” of the United States Constitution following the “Twitter files” leak of a series of messages between the social media platform’s leadership team in the run-up to the 2020 presidential election.
The purportedly leaked messages shed light on the political disputes that erupted at Twitter as its officials deliberated over how to handle the dissemination of a New York Post story about the mostly pornographic contents of a laptop owned by President Biden’s son, Hunter.
The irrelevant “Twitter files” appeared to envigorate Trump, who suggested the contents of the leak warranted either redoing the election entirely or a coup d’etat in which he would be installed as President.
“So, with the revelation of MASSIVE & WIDESPREAD FRAUD & DECEPTION in working closely with Big Tech Companies, the DNC, & the Democrat Party, do you throw the Presidential Election Results of 2020 OUT and declare the RIGHTFUL WINNER, or do you have a NEW ELECTION?” the unhinged former president wrote on Truth Social.
“A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution,” he falsely claimed. “Our great “Founders” did not want, and would not condone, False & Fraudulent Elections!”
Bolton condemned Trump’s remarks and threatened to run for the executive office himself if other GOP candidates don’t repudiate Trump’s blatantly undemocratic behavior.

When you challenge the Constitution itself, that is un-American. If the current GOP presidential candidates don't repudiate Trump, I'm prepared to get in the race. pic.twitter.com/mKnU2tDhyc
