Nancy Marks, the former treasurer of George Santos’ campaign is set to enter a guilty plea for at least one federal felony charge related to the case against the Republican congressman, according to court documents.
Marks, an experienced GOP operative, managed the financial affairs of the Santos campaign until she was dismissed due to irregularities in filings, resulting in allegations against her and the candidate.
Notably, the case against Marks shares the same court docket number as Santos’ case.
In May, Santos pleaded not guilty to 13 federal charges, including wire fraud, money laundering, theft of public funds, and making false statements to the US House of Representatives.
