Coffee Recalled Nationwide Over Fatal Food Poisoning Risk

Staff Writer By Staff Writer

The FDA has issued a critical recall affecting nearly 300 types of canned coffee distributed nationwide due to potential botulism contamination. Snapchill LLC, based in Wisconsin, is voluntarily recalling these products after discovering flaws in their manufacturing process that could result in deadly botulinum toxin production.

According to the FDA, the manufacturing process in question poses a significant risk of botulism, a severe form of food poisoning that can lead to muscle weakness, difficulty breathing, and potentially fatal complications. Symptoms can appear within hours to weeks after consumption.

The affected canned coffee was distributed through various roasters, retail outlets, and Snapchill’s online platform. While no illnesses have been reported yet, consumers are urged to check their products for labels indicating “Produced and distributed by Snapchill LLC” and “Snapchill Coffee.” A detailed list of recalled items is available for reference.

Consumers who have purchased these products should immediately cease consumption and either discard them safely or return them to the point of purchase for a refund. Medical attention should be sought promptly if any symptoms of botulism are experienced.
