Christian Missionary Sentenced to 25 Years For Sexually Abusing Preschooler And Transmitting STD

A former Christian missionary from Iowa has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for sexually abusing a preschooler and giving a sexually transmitted disease to his victim.
Jordan Webb, 31, received his sentence in Webster County after a jury found him guilty of second-degree sexual abuse, incest, and child endangerment, according to local ABC station WPDE-15 News.
He will be required to serve a minimum of 17.5 years behind bars before becoming eligible for parole. Additionally, upon his release, Webb will be obligated to register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life.
Court documents indicate that Webb and the child both tested positive for gonorrhea in April 2022.
Despite being convicted, Webb maintains his innocence. However, his request for a new trial was denied prior to the sentencing.
The current pastor at Harvest Baptist Church in Fort Dodge, Marvin Smith IV, defended Webb, describing him as a “great citizen” and a “great man in the community.” Smith stated that he did not believe Webb posed a threat to the community or was at risk of fleeing.
However, court records reveal that Webb had been researching how to obtain a second passport just a few weeks before Smith sent his letter of support.
