UFC boss and longtime Donald Trump supporter Dana White is catching heat after describing the chaos at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner like it was front-row entertainment.

In an interview with USA Today, White recalled the moment law enforcement flooded the room after reports of a nearby shooting: tables flipping, agents yelling, people scrambling to get low—including top officials like Vice President JD Vance.

White? He enjoyed the chaos.

“I didn’t get down. It was f—ing awesome,” he said, adding that he soaked in “every minute” of what he called a “crazy, unique experience.”

Video making the rounds online shows exactly that vibe—White sitting upright, eyes wide, turning his head while others ducked for cover. In the background, armed agents sweep the ballroom as Secret Service rushes Trump and Melania Trump offstage.

Most people in the room treated it like a real threat. White… not so much.

He later said the response made him think the shooter might be close by—though that didn’t seem to change his decision to stay seated.

Online reaction? Not great.

Critics—and even some in the UFC world—questioned why anyone would describe a shooting scare as “awesome,” with one commentator bluntly asking whether that was really the takeaway from a night like this.
