Right-wing commentator Tucker Carlson is no longer just raising questions about Donald Trump’s behavior—he’s sounding the alarm.

On his Thursday show, Carlson issued a stark warning about Trump, arguing that recent behavior—including Trump’s posting of an image depicting Jesus—may point to something far more dangerous than politics.

“He’s making fun of Christianity,” Carlson said, framing the moment as a direct assault on the faith itself. “The central figure of the religion is being held up for mockery.”

Carlson pointed to Trump’s shifting explanations about the image—at times appearing to take credit, then denying involvement—as something deeply unsettling.

“That’s not really a lie—it’s more than a lie,” he warned. “It’s an attack on truth itself. No one’s even hiding it.”

From there, Carlson pivoted into a grave, almost urgent reading of scripture, arguing that what Americans are witnessing may align with biblical warnings about the end times.

Citing passages from Second Thessalonians, Carlson described the rise of a figure known as the “man of lawlessness”—a deceptive leader who “will exalt himself over everything that is called God” and “proclaim himself to be God.”

He then pointed to verses in the Book of Daniel describing a ruler who “will do as he pleases” and “magnify himself above every god,” suggesting those descriptions should not be ignored.

“These aren’t random passages,” Carlson cautioned. “We’re told there will be signs.”

According to Carlson, Trump’s actions—particularly the use of religious imagery and what he characterized as mockery of God—fit that pattern in a way that should concern people of faith.

“This is mockery of God by a temporal leader,” he said. “This is a man putting himself in the place of God.”

Carlson stopped short of making a definitive claim but made it clear he believes the warning signs are there—and growing harder to dismiss.

“Could this be the Antichrist? Who knows?” he said. “But we are told to watch for the signs.”

The tone of the segment marked a sharp escalation, with Carlson framing Trump not just as a political figure, but as a potential spiritual threat—one that, in his view, demands serious attention.
