The new airliner is meant to replace the President’s jet and has been called the “son of the Concorde.” Earlier this year, Boom’s XB-1 model broke the sound barrier, traveling at 844 mph, which is 83 mph faster than the speed of sound.
Blake Scholl, the CEO of Boom Aero, shared the photo on Twitter and mentioned that models of the Overture One were now available for pre-order. Some of his followers asked questions about the plane, including whether it would be made in the U.S. Scholl confirmed that it would, and also mentioned that the model would ship in July.
However, the big attention wasn’t about the plane or the comments. It was about a strange detail spotted in the background of the photo. Behind Trump, people noticed a reflection in the mirror showing none other than Elon Musk.
At first, only one person caught the reflection and shared it. But soon, hundreds of others saw it too, and the comments started flooding in. Many people found the appearance of Musk in the background unsettling.
