Amidst his hush money trial, Donald Trump has taken his entrepreneurial antics to new heights by hosting a lavish dinner at his Mar-a-Lago estate, exclusively for purchasers of his NFT trading cards.

Reportedly, the guest list comprised ardent supporters who shelled out substantial sums for Trump’s ‘MugShot Edition’ NFTs, as per Axios.

Despite Trump’s declaration to reporters outside the courtroom about his desire to be on the campaign trail, he diverted his attention to Florida for this NFT soirée.

An invitation to the event, as per Axios, revealed the presence of supporters who acquired a minimum of 47 Trump NFTs.

Trump’s website, during the April release of the NFT cards, enticed buyers with a promise of gala dinner tickets at Mar-a-Lago upon purchasing 47 digital cards, amounting to approximately $4,653.

Priced at $99 each, some cards boasted exclusivity, being touted as “one-of-ones (the only one in the world)”, while others were adorned with Trump’s signature.

Social media buzzed with snippets from the event, capturing Trump’s remarks about cryptocurrency businesses relocating due to perceived “hostility” in the US.

Responding to a query from a guest on how to rectify this, Trump asserted, “Well, we’ll stop it because I don’t want that, I don’t want that. If we’re going to embrace it, we have to let them be here.”

Trump boldly proclaimed his NFT collection to have “made NFTs hot again,” receiving applause from attendees.

Amidst assertions that President Biden lacks crypto knowledge and Democrats oppose it, Trump declared, “If you are in favour of crypto, you better vote for Trump.”

Despite Trump’s past skepticism towards digital currency, he seems to be warming up to it, hinting at accepting crypto donations.

Buyers of 47 NFTs or more were promised physical cards featuring fabric from the suit Trump wore during his mugshot in Fulton County, Georgia, post his arrest on racketeering charges—a claim Trump vehemently denies.

“This card is not just a keepsake; it’s a piece of history and a testament to resilience,” the website touted.

Those splurging nearly $10,000 on 100 cards were further rewarded with an invite to a VIP cocktail reception preceding the dinner.

Trump boasted his NFTs’ rapid sell-out during the last release, revealing earnings between $100,001 and $1 million from his recent financial disclosure.

Meanwhile, Trump faces a criminal trial for allegedly falsifying business records related to hush money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels pre-2016 election, denying both the affair and the charges against him.
