Illinois Representative Adam Kinzinger (R) on Sunday said he’s facing threats of assassination against him, his wife, and his five-month-old baby for speaking the truth about the events on January 6, 2021, and for trying to hold Donald Trump accountable for his ‘seditious” actions.
Kinzinger, who is not running for reelection, made the revelation during an interview on ABC’s “This Week,” telling host George Stephanopoulus: “I’d never seen or had anything like that. It was sent from the local area.”
During the interview, Kinzinger declared Trump is “guilty of seditious conspiracy” for inciting the insurrection on January 6. However, he explained that he wasn’t surprised by the violence by those who believe in the conspiracy theories around the 2020 election.
Kinzinger also accused fellow Republicans of failing the American people by refusing to fight to uphold the Constitution and American democracy because they fear supporters of the former president.
