Republican congresswoman and QAnon fanatic Marjorie Taylor Greene is being ripped apart on social media for calling a group of Democrats the “Jihad Squad” and saying they should be removed from Congress.
As clashes continue between Israel and Hamas in some of the worst violence in the region in years, a few progressive Democrats have spoken up for the Palestinian civilians caught in the crossfire. In response, Taylor Greene said they should be banned from Congress for speaking out.
“Members who support terrorism don’t belong in Congress. #JihadSquad,” the QAnon representative tweeted.
Twitter was quick to point out the irony.
“January 6 wasn’t that long ago, remember?” one user wrote.
“Totally agree. We look forward to your resignation ASAP,” another tweeted.
Greene vocally supported Donald Trump’s effort to overturn his 2020 election defeat, which Congress was voting to certify when the Capitol was attacked by a mob of Trump supporters in the worst act of terrorism on US soil since 9/11.
If supporters of terrorism must resign, many on Twitter said they’d be happy to see Taylor Greene go.
“So when are you leaving?” one user replied to the congresswoman.
“I couldn’t agree more,” another commented. “When does your resignation take effect?”

Marjorie Taylor Greene was involved in the attempted coupe at the US Capitol on 1/6. Does Marge belong in Congress, based on her own argument ?
— Rudy and Shirley’s Mom (@RudyandShirley) May 11, 2021
That includes domestic terrorism Like storming the capitol.. You're right you don't belong in congress.
— WxSalem Oregon (@WeatherSalem) May 11, 2021
Are you ready to lead that Republican parade out the door, Marj?
— Hettie (@StHettie) May 11, 2021
You literally supported the terrorists who stormed the capitol on 1/6 and I completely agree.
— Corey Britton (@clobritton) May 11, 2021
A definite self-own for your activities on Jan 6th. May your punishment be swiftly commensurate with your treason.

Let's stop with the squad and lay some truth here. They didn't attack OUR capitol. Your insurrectionist crew did and you cheered them on. pic.twitter.com/teWZX9WSJo

Marge, shockingly I agree with you on something. That said, this includes both foreign and domestic terrorists so if Ilhan is out so are you. Can’t have it both ways.
