The United States has the most confirmed coronavirus cases in the world. Not only that, but more than 70,000 people have died from the virus. Yet, White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany had told Fox News earlier this year that “Donald Trump will not allow the coronavirus to enter this country.”
On Wednesday, a reporter questioned McEnany over the remarks she had said on Fox News and asked if she regretted saying them.
Instead of answering the question, McEnany went on a rant against other news outlets before storming out of the briefing room.
Take a look at the moment in the video clip below:
.@jeffmason1: Before you joined the WH, you went on Fox & proclaimed the coronavirus would not come to the US. Do you regret that?
McENANY: "I would turn the question back on the media, and ask similar questions."
Uncut deflection & whataboutism. She then ends the briefing. pic.twitter.com/DlJb206qOZ
