Donald Trump appeared at a White House press briefing on Monday where he lashed out at CBS reporter Weijia Jiang after she called him out over racist remarks and then he stormed out.
Jiang had initially asked why Trump keeps repeatedly boasting about how the United States is best in the world at testing when 80,000 Americans are dead.
Instead of answering, Trump told Jiang, who is Chinese-American, “you should as China that question.”
He followed up by saying “that’s a nasty question.”
Jiang then asked, “Why did you say ‘China’ to me?” At which point Trump abruptly ended the interview and walked away from the press pool.
Take a look at the video clip below:
.@weijia: Why is this a global competition to you when Americans are losing their lives every day?
TRUMP: Maybe that's a question you should ask China.
WEIJA: Why are you saying that to me, specifically?
TRUMP: I'm saying it to anybody who would ask a nasty question like that. pic.twitter.com/hokJOXASh8
