On Saturday, former President Donald, who is under multiple criminal investigations related to his efforts to overturn the 200 elections, suggested that prosecutors are going crazy over his high approval numbers and vowed to stay in the 2024 presidential race even if his indicted.
“Every time the polls go up higher and higher, the prosecutors get crazier and crazier,” Trump said during his speech at CPAC, the Conservative Political Action Conference, in Maryland’s National Harbor.
“We got to stop these guys saying ‘we have to stop Trump … because we can’t stop them at the ballot box,’” he added.
“I wouldn’t even think of leaving” the race even if he is indicted, Trump said after it was announced that he was the winner of the annual event’s straw poll.
Trump announced his 2024 White House run immediately following the 2022 midterm elections, which saw several of his chosen congressional candidates go down in flames.
