President Donald Trump is once again lashing out at polls he calls “fake,” while taking shots at President Joe Biden and making bold claims about the economy.

Late Monday night, Trump fired off a series of angry posts on Truth Social. In one, he accused Biden of tanking U.S. trade: “The USA lost Billions of Dollars A DAY in International Trade under Sleepy Joe Biden. I have now stemmed that tide, and will be making a fortune, very soon.”

Just minutes later, he doubled down, blasting polls that show his support sinking.

“The Polls from the Fake News are, like the News itself, FAKE! We are doing GREAT, better than ever before,” Trump wrote.

Despite Trump’s claims, recent numbers tell a different story. Even typically favorable outlets like Fox News and Rasmussen show his support falling. A new Fox poll puts his approval at 44%, while Rasmussen shows a 5-point drop.

Trump’s posts came just before midnight and included links trying to back up his economic claims. One pointed to a pollster arguing early polls are unreliable. The other was a Fox Business report claiming more than $5 trillion in new investments under Trump and 451,000 jobs added.
