Recent reports revealed that Donald Trump and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) are scheduled to meet this week to discuss the former president’s impeachment trial.
According to Fox News, the two are set to meet this Thursday in South Florida.
McCarthy has opposed the impeachment of Trump but has been open to the idea of a censure resolution.
The report also notes that in a recent conversation, Trump told McCarthy that he is partially to blame for the failed insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.
