The House Just Passed Biden’s Build Back Better Act

The U.S. House of Representatives on Friday passed President Biden’s sweeping $1.9 trillion spending bill, known as the Build Back Better Act, a key pillar of Biden’s domestic agenda.

The final vote was 220-213. All Republicans and 1 Democrat voted against the bill.

The sweeping economic legislation would deliver on long-standing Democratic priorities by dramatically expanding social services for Americans, working to mitigate the climate crisis, increasing access to health care and delivering aid to families and children.

The bill now goes to the Senate.
