Russian dictator Vladimir Putin reportedly injured his tailbone after falling down the stairs at his home, multiple news outlets reported Friday.
Citing sources with knowledge of the incident, Metro UK reported that “security guards had to help the 70-year-old tyrant to a sofa nearby before doctors arrived.”
The sources said Putin stumbled and fell onto his back, sliding down a couple of steps on his side.
“The incident took place in front of the president’s bodyguards, who reacted quickly and rushed to Putin’s aid,” a source said, according to the report. “Three security officers helped the president to get to the nearest sofa and called the doctors who are on duty at the residence.”
“Before the examination, the doctors escorted the president to the bathroom and helped to clean up,” the source added.
The development comes as rumors surrounding Putin’s deteriorating health continue to propagate across social media.
Russian Telegram channel General SVR has suggested that the Russian strongman is suffering from multiple health problems.
