While speaking to the press on Thursday, White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany was pressed on answering questions about the Trump administration’s plan to reopen schools across the nation.
McEnany claimed that there was guidelines already in place – which she did not offer details for – and claimed that the administration cares about children the most.
“The child will always come first in this administration,” she claimed.
Twitter users decided to remind McEnany of the many times that children haven’t come first in this administration, including the kids that are being kept in cages at the southern border.

She was speaking about Trump — "the child" is Trump.

Trump's using them like human shields for his failed Covid-19 response.

Number of children infected with #COVID__19 ,in Texas and in Florida, is rising, but this administration insists on in person schooling. Cruelty and apathy are the point. Not their problem.

She obviously has no clue as to what she's saying nor how each lie ties back to an even bigger one. She stands up there all proud of herself like she just got 100% on her spelling test or something.

NO child, including his own, has ever come first with Donald Trump. In fact, he's left a pretty long trail of sordid child abuse throughout his life, and he continues that tradition today.

yes, kids first into cages
kids first into crowded spaces with an airborne pathogen
kids first on the chopping block for insurance, food assistance
Yes, it's always kids first

Not kids in cages, or DACA kids, or children with pre-existing conditions, or those who still have no clean water, or Navajo kids, or who will get COVID-19 and/or the syndrome or will be orphaned when their parents get it & die. But he'll be out of office so just doesn't care.
