GOP Representative and QAnon evangelist Marjorie Taylor Greene suffered another pitfall on Friday after attempting to recover from the dayslong mockery she received over her “gazpacho police” gaffe, sparking even more mockery in response.
The extremist pro-Trump lawmaker tried to spin the embarrassing error — in which she confused the name of Adolf Hitler’s secret police, the Gestapo, for the popular chilled soup — into an attack on President Joe Biden.
“Some of us slip up a word every now and then, but Joe Biden doesn’t even know the words coming out of his mouth practically all the time,” she wrote on Twitter, recycling a well-worn right-wing talking point about the president’s stuttering.
Greene then brought up one of Donald Trump’s more bizarre posts on the platform, writing: “So in the famous words of some one I hold dear.. Covfefe!”
Then mockery ensued. Below are some of the reactions trending on Twitter:
Some of us slip up a word every now and then, but Joe Biden doesn’t even know the words coming out of his mouth practically all the time.
The good news is that the people know the difference.
So in the famous words of some one I hold dear.. Covfefe! https://t.co/M1nsl3XUY6

You didn’t slip up; you thought you were using the correct word.

Does anyone follow Marjorie Taylor Greene on Twitter for anything other than the sheer comedy of it? 🤣🤣

Remember when you misspelled “handedly” while calling someone else stupid? That was a classic! It would be nothing but a slip up if everything you say and do it in some way wrong. pic.twitter.com/NvVUN3AHFf

You probably thought you had used the correct word.
Anyway, what does Joe Biden have to do with it?
You displayed your ignorance for the whole world to see and you think mentioning Biden makes you any less foolish?
Translation: "I might be a moron but so is Biden." 🤣🤣🤣🤣
