Manchester United clinched the FA Cup on Saturday, defying expectations to defeat the heavily favored Manchester City 2-1, preventing their crosstown rivals from securing consecutive league and cup doubles.

Before the match, many believed the result was inevitable – United had lost six of its last seven encounters with City and four of its last five finals, while City had been enjoying another dominant season.
However, United turned the tide with two rapid first-half goals – the first by Alejandro Garnacho, followed by Kobbie Mainoo – unsettling the Premier League champions and marking the first men’s FA Cup final with two teenage goalscorers.
