In a red state like South Carolina, incumbent Senator Lindsey Graham (R) should have no trouble winning reelection, right? Wrong.
According to a new poll conducted among South Carolina voters, the race for the senate seat in South Carolina is up for grabs and Democratic challenger Jaime Harrison is looking to unseat the Republican Trump-loyalist.
A new Civiqs poll released this week finds the two rivals tied at 42%.
According to the poll, Graham is seen as unfavorable among 56% of poll-takers, while only 35% have a positive view of him.
The poll also found that Harrison holds a large lead among independent voters — 46% to 28%.
The poll surveyed 591 registered South Carolina voters between May 23-26, and Civiqs, a data analytics company, estimates a 4.5% margin of error.
