Robert Lesher, of Carmel, Indiana, was arrested Monday after taking a gun to a Carmel Clay School Board meeting, police said in a press release.
Officers took control of the weapon after it fell from Lesher’s pocket, the release said. He was immediately handcuffed and led out of the room.
According to The Current, the 69-year-old was taken to the Hamilton County Jail after his arrest on a felony charge of possession of a firearm on school property.
The news release from Carmel Police Department did not indicate the time of the incident.
