GOP Rep Votes To Impeach Trump After Saying He Wouldn’t

Rep. Tom Rice (R-SC) caught his colleagues by surprise on Wednesday when he voted to impeach Donald Trump after saying that he wouldn’t.

“Trump acted recklessly last Wednesday, but he only has nine days left in his term,” a statement from his office read. “Let’s not stoke further division.”

Rice hasn’t released a statement about his vote, but he did express anger towards what happened at the U.S. Capitol last week.
