he Drudge Report unleashed a merciless mockery of former President Donald Trump after his fast-food photo op on Sunday, where he worked the drive-thru at a closed McDonald’s in Pennsylvania, serving meals to supporters in five pre-selected cars.

This spectacle not only highlighted Trump’s latest stunt but also served as a backdrop for his sniping at Vice President Kamala Harris, who has mentioned her summer job at McDonald’s—a claim Trump has repeatedly tried to undermine.

Drudge founder Matt Drudge didn’t hold back, leading his page with a banner headline that derisively dubbed Trump as “McDonald.” Accompanying this were subheadlines that cut deep: “One fry short of a Happy Meal!” and “Felon Finds Work.”

While Trump’s supporters may have viewed it as harmless fun, liberals and non-MAGA Republicans—like Drudge—took the opportunity to savage the former president.

Harris’s campaign quickly seized the opportunity to ridicule the former president.

Spokesperson Ian Sams told The New York Times, “When Trump feels desperate, all he knows how to do is lie. He can’t comprehend what it’s like to have a summer job because he was handed millions on a silver platter, only to squander it.”

This latest slap from Drudge signifies a troubling shift in the relationship between the conservative icon and Trump, who once relished Drudge’s support. In April, Trump vented his frustrations, declaring he had “given up on Drudge,” only for Drudge to retaliate, boasting that his site’s viewership had reached unprecedented heights in its 26-year history.

“Heartbreaking that it has been under such tragic circumstances,” Drudge quipped, underscoring the distance that has grown between the two.
