On Thursday, a Republican lawmaker got brutally smacked down by Del. Stacey Plaskett (D-VI) after he tried to refute her with a document during a House Judiciary Committee hearing.
Plaskett lashed out at Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA), who made a last-minute request to enter a letter from Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry decrying “political violence.”
“Another thing we can’t examine because he’s not here,” Plaskett interjected.
“You can examine it; it’s a document,” committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) told Plaskett.
“No, examine him for what he wrote and the intent behind it,” Plaskett replied.
At that moment, Johnson stood up and walked the letter over to Plaskett and rushed back to his seat.
Visibly shocked by his action, the congresswoman walked to Johnson’s seat his seat and returned the document, nearly throwing it at him.
A clip of the incident quickly went viral on Twitter, where Johnson was accused of “mansplaining” to Plaskett.
Watch the clip below.
Watch this moment below. This is how you handle Republicans. Thank you, @StaceyPlaskett for standing up for what’s right and not taking anything from Republicans https://t.co/G6qd08TKN6

Wow. A Republican Congressman just try mansplaining Del. Stacey Plaskett during a hearing by giving her a document & she literally walked it back over to him. Stacey Plaskett isn’t holding back any punches with Republicans & it’s absolutely glorious. An icon & Queen.
