Fox News aired an interview with Donald Trump on Sunday that was so disastrously executed, even the ‘heavily edited’ version has the internet in stitches.
The former president faced accusations of inciting domestic terrorism and was called out for blatant lies during his conversation with the conservative network’s famously sympathetic hosts. One attorney and radio host even questioned whether Trump’s comments hinted at his deteriorating mental state.
Independent journalist Aaron Rupar was quick to spotlight the conspicuous edits.
“Check out the cut here,” Rupar posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Trump’s interview on Fox & Friends was clearly heavily edited.”
Other users joined the fray. @Acyn remarked, “Trump’s interview with Fox and Friends is heavily edited for some reason.”
“Abrupt cuts while he’s still talking,” they noted. “Very curious what they edited out.”
Bad Fox Graphics, an account dedicated to highlighting Fox’s on-air mishaps, also chimed in.
“When you fail to mic the interviewers, this is the crappy audio you get,” the account posted. “Trump should be LIVID about the poor production value of this heavily edited [FOX & Friends Weekend] interview.”
Former prosecutor Ron Filipkowski didn’t hold back either.
“Fox and Friends has to tape and edit the hell out of Trump’s interview as usual,” he said. “They can’t go live with him anymore because he’s a deranged rambling mess, so they have to clean everything up as best they can with edits.”
“They left a flash frame of the cutaway LOL! Amateur hour,” noted user Blue Georgia.
Mike Norman took it a step further, stating, “Unfortunately, most of his whole life is an edited story, which is why so many people fail to see what an awful person he truly is.”
