Meanwhile, the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the US surged past 671,000, with more than 33,000 deaths, according to the WSJ.
The news comes as President Donald Trump pushes for a reopening of the US economy by lifting the stay-at-home orders and other restrictions in states nationwide intended to stop the spread of the virus.
